Deb values life and has dedicated her career to bringing babies into the world and helping others leave in a gracious manner. She is both a doula and an end-of-life navigator. As a doula, she provides support, encouragement, and guidance to expecting couples during this miraculous time.

Her 38 years of experience as a social worker have given her a breadth of understanding about the difficult conversations in our society regarding end-of-life situations. She is passionate about facilitating conversations within families wrestling with emotional end-of-life options, medical illness, and respecting parents' choices as they age with dignity.

She has worked in a variety of healthcare settings: the VA hospital in inpatient psychiatry in California, group homes, a local hospital as a cardiac and renal social worker, hospice agencies, and for the past seven years, her private practice, Institute for the Cycles of Life, LLC.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, walking at Lake Arlington, traveling the globe, and enjoying Thai panang curry.
